Hi, I’m Jen, a Senior Wealth Manager at Vincere Wealth Management. I studied at Utah Valley University where I completed both my undergraduate degree in Personal Financial Planning and my masters in Financial Planning & Analytics. While studying at UVU, I also had the opportunity to take the AFC & CFP exams.
Before going into financial planning, I worked as a graphic designer and spent time learning how to manage my own finances and inconsistent freelance income. This quickly became a side hobby as I continued to find myself interested in and researching financial planning subjects; I eventually decided I wanted to make a career shift and pursue a degree in financial planning.
I grew up in a very frugal household where finances were not openly discussed. In studying financial planning, I’ve been fascinated to learn about the many ways financial upbringing impacts future attitudes towards money, and have recognized this in my own life. I believe that this is an often overlooked, but significant element of financial planning. Overall, I see financial planning as an incredibly powerful tool that helps build life around our most important relationships and the things we feel are worth giving our time and energy to.
I am passionate about helping others reduce financial stress while pursuing their dreams through good quality, comprehensive financial planning. Some areas I specialize in include: stock options planning, student loans analysis, relationship transitions (marriage and divorce planning), and working with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Outside of work, I love to hike in the nearby Rockies, garden, practice yoga, and paint. I live with my partner and two cats near Salt Lake City, Utah.
