Financial Advice I’d Give My 18-Year-Old Self If I Could!
Most of us have heard the phrase "If only I knew then what I know now." If only we could give our younger selves financial advice based on all of our hard-learned lessons.
(where is Marty McFly when you need him?)
Perhaps we could help save you a lot of time and money - which takes us to our most recent team interactive activity, where our financial experts here at Vincere shared some of the best advice they’d give their younger self.
The marketing team passed that question to Josh Bennett, Managing Partner, Financial Advisor, Enrolled Agent and Educator here at Vincere.
Here’s the piece of advice he shared with us:
“If I could give my 18-year-old self any advice, it would be to start a business right away, possibly skipping college in the process. This may seem counterintuitive, but the best approach I've found to build wealth is to take control of your own destiny and start a business.
If you do that successfully, you won't have to worry about money for the rest of your life.
It can be a very scary thing that many people don't take the leap on. Which is completely understandable. Personally, it took me 10 years to finally make the leap even though I thought about starting a business a decade before I actually did. But since starting, I haven't looked back!
So, if I could give my 18 year old self any advice, it would be just take that leap right away and get to starting that business pronto. -Josh Bennett”
There you have it!
